Don’t leave the ship!

That was definitely the winning caption of the day at the first day of the ISAF Sailing World Cup in Miami.

It was a tough day at the office, a ‘rodeo ride’ as Nina calls it. ‘But we did what we had to do: we didn’t leave the ship and where the second boat to cross the finishing line! ‘

Only 8 teams from the 40 entries managed to finish the only race of the day. Starting the regatta with a 2nd is amazing. There’s still a long regatta ahead of us, but it’s good for the team spirit to start like this.

The ISAF Sailing World Cup in Miami is the first event that counts towards the Dutch Olympic trials. The second and last event is the Sofia Cup in Palma: the Dutch team that performs the best overall in these two events will continue the Olympic qualification process.

Thanks everyone for supporting us so far!!
